How about burning 600 Calories a day while writing with a treadmill desk?
And here’s info on how to buy or build one.
I am so there
Mega-thanks to Jonathan Fields at Awake@The Wheel. Photo cred EOntario (and no, that’s not me — but it easily could be after a couple more books!)

Oh, the treadmill desk would be great until the cats tried to sleep on my feet and, um, you know, went flying off the back! I wonder how your posture does on one of those. I like the idea, though.

Six hours a day on my feet??? (This on top of running a household of…let me count…six, including a seven m.o. grandbaby.)
I thinks I’ll take my chances with da butt.

Karen — I hear you. But I’m thinking I’ll use my laptop, so I can shift to a sitting desk if I need to.
What I’m hoping, though, is that in the long run I’ll feel *less* tired if I drop some weight and get a little circulation going.
